XWALL TITAN Noir Ultra debuts at CEDIA with 8,000 ISO lumens

Shown at CEDIA on 1 September, XWALL's first projector pairs 8,000 ISO lumens with a dual-iris contrast system, lens memory and an introductory $4,999 price before the screen bundle.

XWALL TITAN Noir Ultra debuts at CEDIA with 8,000 ISO lumens

Motorised optics, lens memory, CinemaScope switching, active 3D and a mechanical contrast system: the specification sheet of the XWALL TITAN Noir Ultra reads like a dedicated-theatre projector, and it made its public debut at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver on 1 September, shown at XGIMI's booth 3327.

It is the first product from XWALL by XGIMI, the US brand XGIMI and AWALL announced in late August and which we covered separately, and it is aimed squarely at installers rather than living rooms.

8,000 ISO lumens and a dual iris

XWALL rates the TITAN Noir Ultra at 8,000 ISO lumens from an RGB triple-laser source, driving a 0.47-inch next-generation SST DMD at 3840 x 2160. Native contrast is quoted at up to 12,000:1, dynamic contrast at up to 120,000:1, and colour coverage at 110% of BT.2020. Light-source life is given as up to 20,000 hours. All of these figures come from AWALL's own product page.

The contrast mechanism is a Dual Intelligent Iris system with what XWALL calls AI-powered dynamic black enhancement. The distinction matters: 12,000:1 is the native figure, and the much larger number depends on the iris and processing reacting to content. A 12,000:1 native claim from a single-DMD DLP projector would be unusually good, and it needs measuring with the iris fixed rather than active, along with a check on whether the automatic dynamic black system pumps on dark material.

Optics and placement are the real story

The lens is XGIMI's X-Master Red Ring Lens Pro: 15 elements, aspherical glass, a 14-layer vacuum coating and a claimed 99.6% light transmittance. Throw ratio runs 0.98 to 2.0:1 with motorised zoom, focus and shift, giving vertical shift of plus or minus 130% and horizontal of plus or minus 50%. Image sizes are quoted from 40 to 300 inches.

Five lens memory positions allow automatic switching between 16:9 and 2.35:1, which is the feature that separates this from a bright consumer projector. Anyone with a scope screen will care more about that than the lumen figure.

Gaming and formats

HDR support covers Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced. Gaming claims are 1ms at 1080p/240Hz, 2.2ms at 1080p/120Hz and 3ms at 4K/60Hz, with VRR and ALLM. Connectivity is three HDMI ports with eARC, USB 3.0 and 2.0, gigabit Ethernet, plus optical and analogue audio. Onboard sound is Harman Kardon branded. AWALL does not state the HDMI version, so 4K/120Hz capability is unconfirmed.

Overlap with the European TITAN Noir Ultra Max

The specifications overlap closely with the XGIMI TITAN Noir Ultra Max sold in Europe, which won an EISA award in August on an 8,000-lumen, 110% BT.2020, dual-iris citation and a similar zoom range. Neither company has publicly stated whether the two are the same hardware under different brands, so we are noting the overlap rather than asserting it.

The price is a bundle, not a projector price

AWALL lists the TITAN Noir Ultra at a regular price of $6,499, which is the figure being reported as the MSRP. The live listing is an introductory offer: $4,999 for the projector alone, or $6,499 for the projector paired with a QuasarFlare Ultra screen in acoustically transparent 8K or optical ALR form, at 100, 120 or 150 inches. Delivery is stated as October.

That structure is the point of the whole venture. XWALL is selling a matched projector and screen through a dealer channel with a three-year warranty, rather than a box on its own.
