XGIMI launches MIRA 4K triple-laser UST projector
Priced at $1,529 with a screen included, the 4K RGB triple-laser MIRA ultra-short-throw arrives with Google TV and Dolby Vision, ahead of a brighter MIRA Pro in September.

A 4K triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector for $1,529 with a portable screen thrown in: that was the launch offer when XGIMI released the MIRA on July 15. The model is designed for living-room installations and uses an RGB triple-laser light source, Google TV and Harman Kardon audio; XGIMI quoted a 20,000:1 dynamic-contrast figure with DBLE enabled. A higher-spec MIRA Pro is due to follow in September.
2,000 ISO lumens from 19cm off the wall
XGIMI's US product page rates the MIRA at 2,000 ISO lumens, native 3840x2160 4K resolution and 110% coverage of the BT.2020 colour gamut. The throw ratio is 0.175:1, meaning a 100-inch image from roughly 19.3cm away from the wall, with a recommended screen-size range of 80 to 120 inches. HDR support covers HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision, which puts it a step ahead of some rivals in this price band that stop at HDR10 and HLG. The gaming mode claims 1ms input lag at 1080p with a 240Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate support, alongside MEMC motion processing.
Audio runs through a 36W Harman Kardon system built from two 8W full-range drivers and a 20W subwoofer, decoding Dolby Audio, DTS-HD and DTS Virtual:X. Connectivity includes three HDMI ports, one with eARC, two USB ports, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, running on 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage under Google TV. The cabinet measures 122 x 464 x 268mm, weighs 4.8kg and is rated at 28dB or below in low-noise mode, all on XGIMI's own numbers.
A launch bundle, not just a lower price
The $1,529 launch price is a 10% discount from the $1,699 list price, and it came with a free XGIMI portable screen and a two-year warranty, with shipping beginning July 7. Bundling a screen with an ultra-short-throw projector is a sensible choice rather than a marketing flourish. UST optics are unusually sensitive to the surface they are projected onto, so a matched screen removes one of the more common setup mistakes buyers make with this format. It also gives XGIMI another route into the TV-replacement market without the cost and placement demands of a long-throw dedicated-theatre projector.
Where MIRA Pro fits
XGIMI has said the MIRA Pro will follow with the same core feature set but a claimed 3,000 ISO lumens, roughly 50% brighter than the standard MIRA, aimed at rooms that cannot be fully darkened. European coverage points to a starting price around 1,999 euros for the Pro against 1,699 euros for the standard MIRA in that market, though XGIMI has not published confirmed US pricing. Until it ships, the standard MIRA is the only one of the pair with a firm retail price and availability date.
