Wanbo brings X7 Pro Max 1,500-ANSI-lumen projector to IFA
Wanbo's X7 Pro Max is its brightest projector yet, pairing 1,500 ANSI lumens and native Full HD with Google TV, MEMC and an autofocus setup system.

Wanbo's brightest projector heads to Berlin
Wanbo has announced the IFA 2026 debut of its X7 Pro Max. The company calls it its brightest projector yet, rating it at 1,500 ANSI lumens and pairing native Full HD output with Google TV, MEMC motion processing and Dolby Audio.
That puts the X7 Pro Max in a different position from a battery-led mini projector. It is intended as a comparatively bright, fixed home-entertainment model for larger images, with the smart platform and motion processing aimed at everyday streaming and sport as much as occasional movie nights.
What Wanbo's own product page lists
Wanbo's product page lists native 1080p resolution, a 3,500:1 contrast ratio and HDR10 support, produced through a five-element high-transmittance optical lens. The throw ratio is quoted at 1.15:1, with a recommended screen size of 40 to 180 inches and a maximum stated size of 300 inches under favourable conditions. A secondary source, AndroidPCTV, lists a slightly lower 3,000:1 contrast figure, a reminder that contrast claims vary between manufacturer materials and outlets and are not yet independently measured.
Smart features run through Google TV on Android 14, with a MediaTek MT9660 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Wanbo's ASA 3.0 system bundles autofocus, auto keystone correction, auto screen fit and obstacle avoidance, and the unit sits on a stand that adjusts ±15 degrees, which points to living-room placement on furniture rather than a fixed ceiling mount.
Audio and connectivity
The X7 Pro Max carries 20W of Dolby Audio output, described by Wanbo as a pair of 10W speakers, plus a 550cc bass chamber according to its Amazon listing. Connectivity includes an HDMI 2.1 port with eARC, two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi, alongside Google Cast and Google Assistant support. Wanbo quotes a fan-noise figure of 30dB at one metre, a claim that, like brightness and contrast, still needs independent verification.
Debut first, retail listings already visible
Wanbo used the IFA announcement to promise hands-on demonstrations at its Berlin booth, H21-105, running from 4 to 8 September 2026, rather than to publish a full worldwide availability schedule. That is still the important, verifiable news: the product's public debut and its stated core specification, not a speculative rollout date.
Even so, retail listings for the X7 Pro Max are already visible in the US. B&H Photo lists the projector for sale, and search results point to Amazon pricing in the region of $499, alongside other listings closer to $409. Those figures come from retailer pages rather than a Wanbo press statement, so they should be read as current asking prices rather than a confirmed global launch price.
Where it sits in Wanbo's range
AndroidPCTV describes the X7 Pro Max as an upgraded successor to the existing Wanbo X5 Pro, though neither Wanbo nor the secondary coverage published a detailed spec-for-spec comparison between the two models. The 1,500-ANSI-lumen claim should be treated as a manufacturer specification until independent measurement is available. It is nevertheless a clear step up in the company's own range and a distinct IFA-era launch that was absent from the earlier backfill.
