JVC adds a dedicated CM-Pro ceiling mount to new flagship 8K projector purchases
From September 1, eligible DLA-NZ900 and DLA-NZ800 purchases through authorised dealers include Engage Engineering's all-steel CM-Pro ceiling mount, a $400 bracket, at no extra charge.

A $400 ceiling mount now comes free with JVC's 8K flagships. From September 1, new authorised-dealer purchases of eligible JVC 8K models, headed by the DLA-NZ900 and DLA-NZ800, include the JVC CM-Pro, a bracket built in collaboration with Engage Engineering and announced alongside the two projectors at CEDIA 2026. Engage Engineering lists the CM-Pro's standalone retail value at $400, so the bundle is a real saving rather than a nominal one. The mount is also sold separately to installers working with existing projectors.
Beyond the NZ900 and NZ800, JVC and Engage Engineering say the CM-Pro also covers the DLA-RS3200 and DLA-RS4200, and is compatible more broadly with JVC's RS, NZ, NX and NP5 series projectors going back several generations. That reach suits custom installers who service mixed fleets of JVC hardware rather than a single current model.
All steel, no plastic gears
The NZ900 and NZ800 demonstrations at CEDIA highlighted 8K cinema and 4K/120p gaming. Neither counts for much if the unit is poorly mounted, vibrating, difficult to service or unable to sit in the intended optical position.
Engage Engineering, a California-based firm that specialises in optical and electronic hardware, built the CM-Pro with all-steel construction and no plastic adjustment gears, according to the companies' announcement. The mount installs directly onto standard 1.5-inch NPT pipe or straight to wood ceiling joists, and its low-profile design is meant to leave more clearance for cable routing and projector airflow than a bulkier universal bracket. Coverage of the launch also describes twelve serrated steel flanged screws rated to hold well over 1,500 pounds each in the positioning system, with a magnetic bubble level and an extra-long hex driver included for levelling during installation.
Where a universal bracket falls short
A universal mount can introduce compromises precisely where a high-end projector needs stability. An imperfect fit can leave a heavy 8K unit slightly out of level, restrict the pitch and roll range an installer needs for fine alignment, or crowd the intake and exhaust vents that keep a laser light engine within its rated temperature range. Pairing a purpose-built mount with the flagship models is a tacit admission that generic brackets were not solving that problem well enough for a projector at this price.
The wide pitch and roll adjustment Engage Engineering describes is aimed squarely at alignment, giving installers room to correct for an uneven ceiling or an off-centre joist without resorting to shims or aftermarket adapters.
The offer covers new purchases through authorised dealers from September 1, 2026. It does not appear to extend retroactively to projectors already installed on other mounts, and the CM-Pro remains available to buy separately at its stated $400 value for anyone outside that window. The companies have not published an overall load-tested weight limit distinct from the per-screw rating, so installers working near the upper end of what the mount can bear should still consult JVC's own installation guidance for the specific projector model.
