Elite ProAV shows Presenter Pro and Floor Riser Pro DarkUST 3

Elite ProAV's InfoComm 2026 display centred on the DarkUST 3 material, an 85%-rated ambient-light-rejecting UST screen built into portable floor-rising and folding-frame formats.

The screen is part of the image engine

Elite ProAV brought its Presenter Pro and Floor Riser Pro DarkUST 3 systems to InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas. That is relevant because ultra-short-throw projection is often judged as though the projector alone creates the picture. In a normal living room or meeting space, the screen material has a major influence on perceived contrast, uniformity and resilience to ambient light.

A floor-rising screen also changes the installation equation. It can be stored inside furniture or a housing rather than permanently occupying a wall, which can be attractive in shared spaces where a conventional fixed-frame screen is not acceptable.

What DarkUST 3 actually claims

Elite ProAV rates the DarkUST 3 surface as absorbing up to 85% of overhead light through a lenticular, sawtooth-style micro-structure that combines reflective and absorbent layers, backed by a black layer intended to stop light bleeding through the material. The company describes the design as delivering a wide viewing angle so the image stays uniform from most seats in a room, though it has not published a specific gain figure or measured viewing-angle number for either screen. As with any ambient-light-rejecting claim, that 85% figure is Elite ProAV's own rating rather than an independently measured result.

Two formats, two use cases

The Floor Riser Pro DarkUST 3 is the more portable of the pair, built for tabletop-mounted UST projectors and offered in 102-inch and 122-inch 16:9 sizes. It ships with an integrated carrying handle, a telescopic support bar, rotating floor feet with levelling cups and a rugged extruded-aluminium case, pitched squarely at travelling presenters who need a screen that survives repeated setup and teardown.

The Presenter Pro Riser DarkUST 3 is a larger, free-standing electric screen aimed at fixed-but-non-hardwired installs. It spans five 16:9 sizes from 126 to 152 inches, rises on a scissor-back mechanism, and includes IR and RF remotes, a wall-box controller and a 12V trigger for syncing with a projector. Elite ProAV is explicit that both screens are designed for UST projectors only; conventional short-throw or standard-throw units are not supported.

Why UST screens matter to this category

Because UST projectors send light toward the screen at a steep angle, dedicated screen materials are increasingly a distinct product category rather than an afterthought. By presenting DarkUST 3 in both a lightweight folding format and a floor-rising electric format, Elite ProAV is targeting meeting rooms, lecture halls and training centres where a fixed screen is impractical but a bright, high-ambient-light space still needs to deliver a legible image.

Support and outstanding questions

Both models carry a five-year standard warranty, extended to six years for education, non-profit, religious and government buyers, alongside Elite ProAV's lifetime technical support commitment. Pricing was not disclosed on the product pages reviewed for this article.

Confirm the light rejection with your own projector

Elite ProAV's 85% light-rejection figure and its viewing-angle claims are manufacturer specifications rather than independently measured results. Buyers considering DarkUST 3 for a working meeting room should still confirm real-world contrast, colour uniformity and off-axis brightness with their specific UST projector before committing to either format.
