AWOL Vision unveils LuxVision 4K/120Hz UST projector at IFA

One-touch vertical optical lens shift is the rare feature on LuxVision, a $5,999 4K/120Hz RGB triple-laser UST rated at 6,000 ISO lumens and shipping in October 2026.

AWOL Vision unveils LuxVision 4K/120Hz UST projector at IFA

One button moves the picture up or down without touching a pixel. That is the feature that separates LuxVision, the flagship ultra-short-throw projector AWOL Vision introduced at IFA 2026, from most of the UST field: one-touch vertical optical lens shift. Around it, the company claims 4K (4096x2160) at 120Hz, a 6,000 ISO-lumen RGB triple-laser engine, a 0.18:1 throw ratio, images up to 200 inches and 110% coverage of the Rec. 2020 colour space.

Optical shift moves the image without relying on digital keystone correction, so the full image detail is retained when a projector has to work with an existing console, screen or wall geometry. In UST setups, where small placement errors are very obvious, that is a bigger deal than it sounds.

Gaming and cinema features in one living-room form factor

AWOL lists VRR, ALLM, 1ms input lag, Dolby Vision Gaming, three HDMI 2.1 ports and DisplayPort among the LuxVision's gaming credentials, alongside four-channel HDMI Multiview for switching between sources. On the film side, it cites dynamic tone mapping, a seven-level dynamic iris, Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode and 3D support. AWOL also points to a second-generation Anti-Rainbow-Effect system intended to reduce colour-breakup artefacts in fast motion, a known weakness of single-chip DLP laser projectors under bright, saturated content.

A Parthenon-inspired cabinet at the top of the Aetherion series

AWOL says the cabinet's proportions were drawn from the Parthenon's classical column rhythm, reworked into what it calls a sculptural UST form, and the projector is offered in configurable colour, material and finish options to match different interior styles. LuxVision is the debut model under AWOL's unified "Bring Wonder Home" brand identity, introduced in June 2026, which now groups its ultra-short-throw models under the Aetherion series and its long-throw models under Valerion, with LuxVision positioned as the flagship of the UST side.

$5,999 and an October ship date

AWOL has set an MSRP of $5,999 in the US, €5,999 in the EU and £4,999 in the UK, with shipping expected around October 2026. That price places LuxVision firmly in the premium UST bracket, above AWOL's existing Aetherion models and in the same territory as flagship UST projectors from rivals such as Hisense and Samsung, where 4K/120Hz gaming support and RGB triple-laser engines are increasingly the baseline for a flagship claim rather than a differentiator on their own. Placement flexibility and game performance are now as much a part of that competition as movie-night image quality, and AWOL is pitching LuxVision as a projector that moves between cinema, console gaming and bright-room viewing without changing the setup.

Two items on the sheet pull against each other. The 6,000 ISO-lumen claim belongs to the brightest setting, while the seven-level dynamic iris exists to trade brightness for black level, so how much of that output survives in a calibrated picture mode with the iris engaged is the figure that will define the projector in a dark room.
