Aurzen unveils the ZIP Pro tri-fold Full HD pocket projector
A 586g projector that folds into three, doubles the original ZIP to native 1080p and 200 ANSI lumens, and ships from 30 October at $629.99.

Aurzen says the ZIP Pro is the first tri-fold Full HD pocket projector, and the numbers behind that claim are 586g, 487cm³ and a 10.7mm optical unit. Announced at IFA 2026, it is built around a three-section folding body and native 1080p output, extending the ZIP concept toward a sharper travel display. The design point is that the projector rides in a bag and then becomes its own adjustable stand when unfolded, something the usual mini-projector shape, which still needs a separate stand or a carefully positioned surface, does not manage.
Everything doubled from the original ZIP
Native resolution rises from the first ZIP's 720p to a 1920x1080 DLP panel, and rated brightness doubles too, from 100 to 200 ANSI lumens. Battery life climbs from 1.5 to roughly 2.5 hours in ECO mode, drawn from a 38Wh cell, and charging moves from a 24W to a 65W-plus USB-C PD input. Aurzen also adds a second simultaneous Bluetooth 5.4 headphone connection and a USB-C video input with DisplayPort Alt Mode, including a direct wired path for a Nintendo Switch, neither of which the original ZIP supported. Contrast is rated at 300:1 with 85% NTSC colour coverage, and the throw ratio is 1.2:1, with Aurzen recommending 60 to 80-inch images in a dark room and quoting a maximum of around 115 inches.
The Z-shaped hinge provides multiple viewing angles, while time-of-flight autofocus and four-point keystone correction, an upgrade from the original ZIP's automatic vertical-only correction, cut the setup work: open it, point it at a surface, get a Full HD image without a permanent installation. A touchscreen handles on-device controls, dual 2W speakers cover casual audio, and fan noise is rated at 24dB in ECO mode and 28dB in normal mode. Wireless mirroring covers AirPlay, Miracast, DLNA and Google Cast, run on a Linux-based system rather than a smart-TV platform, so there is no pre-installed native streaming app, and DRM-protected services may resist being cast wirelessly.
$629.99, or $579.99 on preorder
Aurzen has listed the ZIP Pro at an MSRP of $629.99, with an introductory preorder price of $579.99 in the US, UK and Europe, and a bundle with the companion CastPlay Pro streaming dongle at $629.99 against a combined MSRP of $759.98. Shipping is expected from 30 October 2026.
The brightness figure should be read against Aurzen's own screen-size advice. A 200 ANSI lumen rating is modest next to living-room UST models, and the recommended 60 to 80-inch window is a useful reality check on the quoted 115-inch maximum. How well the ToF autofocus and four-point keystone hold detail on angled surfaces, and whether the 85% NTSC figure survives a colour check, will only be known when shipping starts. Still, the ZIP Pro is a new product format rather than a specification refresh, and it gives Aurzen a clear IFA story in compact projection.
